To facilitate the full integration and utilization of new energy sources across the province, the State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company has optimized its organizational structure by establishing a power source service center. This center features dedicated service windows and standardized procedures, creating a "one-stop, internally coordinated" grid connection service system. These improvements have significantly enhanced the quality and efficiency of power source grid connection services, thus supporting the energy transition.
Since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, State Grid Gansu Electric Power has facilitated the grid connection of 36.43 million kilowatts of new energy capacity. This includes newly installed capacities of 16.63 million kilowatts of wind power, 19.7 million kilowatts of solar power, and 100,000 kilowatts of biomass power.
Compared to the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the installed capacity of new energy sources has increased from 23.68 million kilowatts to 60.14 million kilowatts, with the proportion rising from 42 percent to 63.4 percent. Gansu province's power source composition has thus shifted from primarily fossil fuels to predominantly large-scale renewable energy, achieving a cleaner energy production structure.
