The event saw 48 local fruit enterprises and cooperatives sign agreements with 56 out-of-town fruit distributors, resulting in contracts for 61,000 tons of fruit products valued at 640 million yuan ($88.5 million).
This year's festival, themed around the implementation of the "Ten Million Project" and celebrating China's bountiful harvest, featured ten diverse activities. These included the selection and auction of the "Huaniu King" apple, the exhibition and sale of Tianshui fruits and specialty agricultural products, as well as e-commerce livestreaming events.
All these efforts were aimed at boosting the sale of local agricultural specialties, thereby increasing agricultural efficiency and farmers' incomes.
Yang Baoyan, director of the Gangu County Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Testing Center, provided insights into the event's scope: "Today, 83 enterprises from 15 townships in Gangu county are showcasing over 250 varieties of agricultural products across ten categories."
He further explained that the combination of online and offline sales channels, coupled with multi-faceted promotional efforts, would significantly enhance the reputation, recognition, and market competitiveness of Gangu's high-quality agricultural products. "This initiative," Yang added, "will pave the way for Gangu's premium agricultural goods to gain popularity nationwide and even reach international markets."
