A significant milestone was reached on Sunday as 72 turbines from the 400,000-kilowatt wind power project run by Baiyin Jingtai Longlu Development New Energy successfully connected to the grid. The connection marks a pivotal moment in Baiyin's renewable energy journey, with the installed capacity of wind power in the city's power grid now exceeding 2 million kW, accounting for 71.5 percent of its total new energy capacity.

The project is the largest single-scale wind power initiative in Baiyin. To ensure a smooth grid connection, the State Grid Baiyin Power Supply Company implemented a robust coordination and promotion mechanism. This system dynamically tracks project progress and promptly addresses challenges faced by enterprises. Specialists have been organized to identify and rectify hidden dangers and defects, offering one-on-one guidance to station technicians to ensure safe and reliable operation.

In recent years, Baiyin has accelerated new energy development by leveraging its abundant natural resources, particularly wind and sunlight. The state grid utilizes the "New Energy Cloud" platform to integrate online and offline processes for efficient grid connection and seamless project access system reviews.

The company has also established an energy development research center, which focuses on overcoming bottlenecks in new energy development by collaborating with high-level consulting agencies to conduct research in areas such as economic development, energy-carbon dual control and comprehensive energy and resource element guarantees. These efforts aim to provide the government with comprehensive energy development solutions and support the high-quality growth of new energy.
