Greenhouse-cultivated cherries are entering their swelling period, a crucial stage in the spring planting season. In recent days, the greenhouses in Qilou village, Xifeng district's Wenquan town, were brimming with verdant vitality, with countless emerald fruits growing thick on branches. Workers are diligently pinching buds, removing flower calyxes, and eliminating deformed fruits to ensure the cherries' superior quality.

Based on local resources, Wenquan town in Xifeng district has attracted the Qingyang Fengqingyuan Planting Farmers Cooperative to develop the cherry industry using the "cooperative-plus-base-plus-farmer" model, leasing over 500 acres of land to create a fruit production base. The scale of the cherry industry has been expanded, accompanied by facilities such as heating, automatic temperature control, and integrated irrigation, all contributing to the improved quality and efficiency of cherry production. Presently, the cooperative has planted cherries on over 300 acres of land, with 16 greenhouses covering 60 acres specifically. It is expected that the fruit will be available for sale starting in April.
