On March 12, a diverse assortment of roses bloomed exquisitely within the greenhouse of the Baiyi (Sino-Dutch) International Flower Port in Linxia county, Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture, Gansu province. Workers were diligently engaged in harvesting, pruning, sorting, and packaging these resplendent blooms for the market.

The daily production of freshly cut roses, including popular varieties such as Naomi, Pink Snow Mountain, and Peach Snow Mountain, totals approximately 30,000 stems, resulting in an annual output of roughly 12 million stems. These products are distributed to major cities in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, yielding an annual output value of 21.6 million yuan ($3 million), with an average output value per unit area exceeding 500,000 yuan ($70,000). Furthermore, the enterprise provides employment to over 200 individuals across various sectors, including flower production, packaging, logistics, and retail, thereby contributing significantly to the revitalization of rural villages.

The Baiyi (Sino-Dutch) International Flower Port, heralded as a flagship project in facility agriculture of Linxia county, has successfully surmounted the traditional constraints of agricultural production, such as limited land, water, fertilizer, and sunlight. Through the utilization of modern agricultural technologies, it has empowered the cultivation of flowers, enabling roses to bloom splendidly throughout the seasons and sustain enduring popularity in the flower market.
