In 2021, Fujian province's per capita net income of the non-impoverished population reached 18,173 yuan ($2,715.22), an increase of 18.9 percent, the collective economic income of 2,201 non-impoverished villages achieved an average of 297,300 yuan, an increase of 1.5 percent, and the GDP of 23 non-impoverished counties hit 434.6 billion yuan.

Through years of rural vitalization, the poverty-stricken villages of the past have been developing into ones with high-quality agriculture and a comfortable living environment.

The development of industries is a pivot for rural vitalization in Fujian province, which boasts rich agricultural resources.

In recent years, Fujian province has been firmly developing modern agriculture according to the different characteristics of each region, such as honey pemalo in Pinghe county, fish farming in Ningde city, and industrial bamboo integration in Yong'an county.

In 2021, the total output value of the whole industry chain of Fujian's 10 rural specialty industries reached 2.2 trillion yuan.

As the initial step in vitalizing rural areas, Fujian has insisted on upgrading rural planning and construction management while highlighting the skills of talents.

For example, Fujian encourages the use of instructors for rural vitalization and has recommended that over 800 leaders and authorities return to work in the villages.

Over the years, Fujian has maintained a commitment to fusing the benefits of the sea's resources, technology, and talents with the advantages of the mountain's ecosystem, labor, and resources. The province has recognized 32 industrial parks with a mountain-to-sea coordination system thus far.

In addition, Fujian province has extended its poverty alleviation collaboration work to Ningxia Hui autonomous region. During the past 26 years, Fujian has helped 937,000 people and 1,100 villages achieve poverty alleviation, and all of the nine previously impoverished counties have been lifted out of poverty.
