Fujian tourism department offering coupon cards during Spring Festival holiday

Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced at a press conference on Jan 28 that the province is distributing "Fuyou Card" (coupon card) for free at 10 am from Jan 27 to Feb 15 on its official WeChat account "fjta12301".

The "Fuyou Card" is a real-name e-coupon card that is valid until the end of 2022. To acquire the card, people should message the Chinese characters of "Fuyou Card" (福游卡) to the official WeChat account.

People can enjoy a 50 percent discount on the first entry tickets for about 50 scenic spots in the province, which include all 5A-level scenic spots, key 4A-level scenic spots, and some hot springs, said Wu Liguan, an official from the provincial department of culture and tourism.

A total of 20,220 cards will be distributed, which include 2,000 cards being distributed on Chinese New Year’s Eve and the Lunar New Year Day, which fall on Jan 31 and Feb 1 this year, 2,008 cards will be distributed on the Lantern Festival, which falls on Feb 15, and 836 cards will be distributed on other days.

In addition to the "Fuyou Card", more than 160 A-level scenic spots across the province will open to the public for free or at half price during the Spring Festival holiday. For instance, all the scenic spots on Meizhou Island in Putian will be open to the public for free.

The province also plans to treat people to a cultural feast during the Spring Festival holiday that includes over 270 exhibitions at 142 museums across the province. All the nine prefecture-level cities in the province will hold various events with local characteristics to celebrate the holiday.
