An immersive performance staged in Xiadang village in Shouning county, Ningde, East China's Fujian province Aug 4 was attended by celebrity guests, including Kang Hui, the news presenter for China Central Television, and pop idol Wang Junkai.

The performance, which was titled "Our Chinese Dream", was organized to celebrate the success of villagers in shaking off poverty and achieving prosperity in Xiadang.

The performance is part of China Media Group's program to honor the country's 2020 achievements in poverty alleviation.
