A member of the Engineering & Construction Division of Air Liquide, Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions Hangzhou (E&C Hangzhou) was established in 1995, marking the entry into China of Air Liquide Group’s engineering and construction business.   

Over the past two decades, E&C Hangzhou has grown into a major engineering and manufacturing center of Air Liquide Group with nearly 600 employees. It specializes in designing, engineering, manufacturing and constructing leading-edge air separation plants, syngas purification units, carbon monoxide plants, hydrogen recovery plants, and other industrial gas plants, with a worldwide presence including in 43 cities in China. E&C Hangzhou is one of the country’s leading manufacturers in the cryogenic field. 

In addition to E&C Hangzhou, Air Liquide Engineering & Construction China also operates another major engineering center in Shanghai. It focuses on solution development and project execution based on proprietary Lurgi technologies such as a Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) and gasification. In addition, it also provides technical support for licensing Lurgi technologies and is playing an increasingly important role in clean chemical conversion in China.
