A group of Chinese overseas talents from top universities in the United States gathered for a talent forum which was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Aug 16.
The forum, organized by SYMPH, a student organization launched by Chinese students in Stanford, Yale, MIT, Princeton and Harvard universities, aims to facilitate exchanges between Chinese and American talents in areas of science and technology, culture and international development.
Over 80 students from the five well-established universities were invited to share their experiences during their academic years and make speeches on social responsibilities.
Li Siwei, CEO of Forbes China believes that the value China places on education and the growing investment in R&D and innovation projects are giving new impetus to the Chinese economy.
In recent years, the rapid development of the internet and hi-tech sectors in Hangzhou has brought the city numerous innovation and entrepreneurial opportunities, according to the founder of SYMPH, who hoped that more young people can learn about the development of China's hi-tech and internet technology.
