Two graduates from Hangzhou Wenlan Middle School, Zhejiang province recently wrote a book on their experiences in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic.
The 170,000-word book, which took two years to complete, tells 40 stories about their time spent in the city during an exchange trip back in 2016 and their reflections on the Silk Road.
Ni Yicheng, one of the authors, said that the Czech Republic is an important country involved in the Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative. This book is not only a memory for them, but also demonstrates the B&R Initiative from their perspectives.
"Hangzhou and Prague are both my hometowns, and I'm very proud that the relationships between the two countries are getting closer thanks to the B&R Initiative", he said.
"My interest in the silk road stems from the beautiful scenery along the trains between Yiwu and Prague", said another author Zhang Shuhan, adding that she wants to become a diplomat in the future and contribute to the friendly relations between China and other countries.
