An exhibition featuring the rich folk culture heritage along the Qiantang River kicked off in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Aug 14.
Hosted by the Jianggan district of Hangzhou, the exhibition is aimed at showcasing the charm of the Qiantang River and promoting the traditional Chinese culture to the world.
Dressed in folk costumes, a total of 500 artists presented a myriad of catwalk shows featuring the rich cultural elements of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), including silk and embroidery.
Other highlights included a folk musical performance and an exhibition of Chinese calligraphy and engraved works.
