The community is composed of five villages that have largely preserved the structure and style that existed during the Ming and Qing dynasties between the 15th and 19th centuries. Each village is noted for its unique style. Shen’ao Village is renowned for the design of its groundwater system. Dipu Village has been recognized for its culture, which stresses the importance of devotion to parents and loyalty to friends. The residents of Huanxi Village are known for their love of lotuses. Xufan and Qingyuan villages are recognized for their unique architecture and natural landscape.
