The leaders of some of the top global high-tech companies will descend upon Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, for the 2nd Hangzhou Expo of Intelligent Life, which is due to be held from Aug 17 to 19.

The exhibition, sponsored by Qianjiang Evening News, will see a myriad of products from the fields of smart homes, smart healthcare, smart cities, robots and innovative high technology.

"Interaction, sharing and cooperation are three keywords that will be emphasized at the expo," said Ren Xingrong from Lefit, a Hangzhou-based fitness startup, adding that the expo is a great platform for companies to showcase their new products and achievements.

Though AI has provided people with a new way of life through the advancement of driverless cars and robots, we should also be aware of the threats that AI may bring us, said Lin Weihua, CEO of a Hangzhou-based technology company.

"Humans should not lose our sense of emotions and judgment while taking advantage of the intelligent technologies," he said.

Over 300 AI and innovative high technology products from around 100 domestic and overseas companies were exhibited at last year's event.
