The Xiaoshan Sports Center consists of a stadium, a gymnasium, a natatorium or swimming pool complex, a fitness center and a tennis hall, as well as basic related facilities such as a gateball venue, a basketball court and fitness square. It covers a total area of 112.615 mu (7.51 hectares), and includes 47,000 square meters of building area. It has a green coverage of 40 percent.

The stadium was built in June 1996 with an investment of 28 million yuan ($4.42 million). It has a track-and-field ground with 13,500 seats, a 400 meter plastic track and a football pitch. It provides organizational planning, officiating and other technical services for various track and field meetings and football competitions, as well as performances.

The stadium is currently open free to local residents from morning to night. Athletic training of the youth sports school and training of the Huafeng football club are regularly scheduled in the stadium. Houses nearby are rentable. The stadium will be a venue for the 2018 sports meeting of Xiaoshan district.
