Hangzhou Normal University
Located in the historic and cultural city of Hangzhou, Hangzhou Normal University (HNU) was founded in 1908.
HNU has several campuses, including Cangqian, Xiasha and Yuhuangshan. The university envelops an area of 1.98 million square meters. The values of its fixed assets and facilities for teaching are 2.58 billion yuan ($405.99 million) and 839 million yuan. The number of books in the library is 2.64 million.
Hangzhou Normal University offers 71 undergraduate majors under 10 disciplines. It has 18 schools, two teaching centers, one directly affiliated hospital and one independent college – Qianjiang College.
It currently has a total of 21,000 full-time regular students, including over 17,000 undergraduates, over 2,700 graduates and more than 1,400 overseas students. The faculty team consists of 2,200 teaching and administrative staff, including 1,400 full-time teachers, more than 50 percent of whom hold senior positions and doctor’s degrees.
Authorized to recruit and cultivate overseas students, HNU has established interscholastic cooperation relationships with more than 30 universities and institutions from countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the South Korea, Japan, Australia and Taiwan.
