Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics
Located in the picturesque city of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) is a prestigious institution of higher education with key disciplines in economics. ZUFE coordinates those with various other disciplines such as management, literature, law, science, engineering and arts.
ZUFE now consists of four campuses: Xiasha campus, Wenhua campus, Cuiyuan campus and Chang’an campus, occupying an area of 153 hectares in total with a construction area of 985,000 square meters. The university has 16 colleges, one teaching center, one independent college, and three research institutes and centers, and is entitled to confer bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees and doctoral degrees. It is accredited to enroll international students and students from the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. There are more than 15,000 full-time undergraduates and postgraduates (the independent college not included).
The university possesses fixed assets under management valued as high as 1.69 billion yuan ($266.03 million), 10 percent of which are for teaching- and research-related equipment and facilities; for example, 76 specialized laboratories. The university library holds a collection of more than 2.1 million volumes, nearly 2,000 academic journals, 2.5 million e-books and 35,000 e-journals. ZUFE has a faculty of 1,564, of whom 157 are professors and 339 are associate professors. Five hundred and ninety-two of the faculty hold a doctor’s degree.
The university attaches great importance to a full range of cooperation and exchanges in international education. It has established close academic relations and collaborations with 108 universities from 28 countries and regions including the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada by advancing international programs such as a teacher exchange program, a student exchange program and a credit transfer system.
