Wenlan Community in Gongchenqiao subdistrict
Located at the southern end of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Wenlan Community is home to the Gongchen Bridge, the highest and longest of all the ancient arch bridges in Hangzhou. The Sanglu, a former silkworm breeding site under municipal protection, is also in the community.
It boasts rich educational resources, including Gongshu Children’s Palace, Daguan Middle School, Maiyuqiao Primary School, Wenlan Kindergarten and Shenmo Education.
People living here enjoy easy access to food markets, convenience stores, and bicycle rental stations.
Wenlan Community was launched in December 2014, and covers an area of 0.75 square kilometers. It is situated on the bank of the Grand Canal and west of Gongchen Bridge, bordering Xiaohe Road in the east, Tongyi Road in the west, Dengyun Road in the south and Huzhou Street in the north, and governs 5,608 households in 75 buildings of seven residential complexes -- Xiaohe Road, Fengjing Dayuan (Grand Yard), Jinxiu Lanting, Chengshi Fengjing, Dahe Chenzhang, Jiulongcang Bixi and Lvcheng Yunhechenyuan, and an office building near the Xirui Building.
There are 2,988 households, 7,100 permanent residents and a floating population of about 800 in the Community.
