Launched in April 2001, Renhecang Community is part of a large relocation project. About 97 percent of its residents have been relocated. Covering 0.5 square kilometer, it borders Changle Road in the east, Xiangjisi Lane in the south, Dadou section of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the west and Daguan Road in the north.

There are 2,094 people in 812 households of 11 residential blocks. It is home to more than 90 enterprises and has established cooperative relationships with Greentown Service, Greentown Construction, Yuangu Creative Park and the Second Human Resource Market.

There are 10 teams and 12 team leaders to manage the residents' affairs. It has 10 voluntary teams, including a team consisting of migrant workers. These workers provide free haircuts, needlework, repairs of bikes and household electrical appliances and door-to-door visits to the aged and disabled.

The Community won many honorary titles thanks to the efforts made by the Party branch, staff workers and all residents, such as "National Comprehensive Disaster Reduction Demonstration Community", and "Excellent Sport Community in Zhejiang Province". It has also been praised for its high employment rate and water conservation.
