Abstract: As an important platform for China's opening up, the China-Europe industrial parks have seen notable progress in development, thanks to the support of China’s ministries as well as joint efforts of local governments and the operators of the parks. The role of China-Europe industrial parks in China’s opening up and regional economic development is becoming more prominent. Currently, as China has entered the new development stage, China-Europe industrial parks, as an important carrier of China-EU economic and trade cooperation, have become a key sector for attracting foreign investment and trade development in building the new development pattern, which makes their high-quality development highly significant. To promote the high-quality development of the industrial parks, we should further specify the parks’ industrial development orientation, launch policies according to different categories, and consolidate the foundations of the industrial parks. We also need to highlight China-Europe cooperation in their development, strengthen cooperation and coordination among parks, improve the systems, mechanisms and policies, and build a joint development pattern for the parks and pilot free trade zones. These moves will enable the industrial parks to play a more important role in stabilizing foreign investment and foreign trade, promoting growth and China-EU economic and trade cooperation, building a new development pattern and pushing forward regional development.
