Ma Jiantang, Secretary of Leading Party Members Group of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), led a team to Jiashan county, Zhejiang province on March 21 to learn about Jiashan's implementation of the New Development Principles and development of regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta.

During the visit, Ma learnt about Jiashan's practice of New Development Principles, its strategic positioning in the development of the Yangtze River Delta and the construction of Jiashan demonstration sites.

Ma’s team visited Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone's B area and Futong Group to study the industrial development of pilot zones and their undertaking of major industrial transfer and integration into the Yangtze River Delta.

They also visited the Taoyuanxincun community in Yaozhuang town, as well as farmers' homes to gain an in-depth understanding of the rural housing renovation and agglomeration project in the pilot zone and demonstration zone, and the practice of urban and rural integration in Jiashan.

He emphasized that Jiashan should seize the great opportunity arising from the identification of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta as a national strategy, actively plan and accelerate the construction of demonstration zones, explore the system of high-quality development, enhance its comprehensive ability to participate in the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, and create a new chapter in social and economic development at the county level.
