Wang Anshun, Vice-President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), led a delegation to Poland and Belgium from Sep 14 to 21.

The delegation conducted special researches on issues such as European industrial transformation and upgrading, service industry development and green growth.

During the delegation’s stay in Poland, they met with Polish government officials and exchanged views on investment, technological innovation and industrial development.

The delegation also visited the Polish Post Group and the Warsaw University of Science and Technology, and discussed the development of the Polish service industry, and cooperation prospects in logistics and education between China and Poland.

The delegation met with delegates from Chinese-funded enterprises and discussed about the investment policies in Poland, and challenges faced by Chinese-funded enterprises in Poland.

In addition, the delegation went to the China-European container company to learn about the operation of the China Railway Express, to explore the ways in which to improve the efficiency of China-Europe railway and improve the infrastructure of the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the delegation’s stay in Belgium, they visited the European Commission's Directorate General for Climate Change and the European Academy, and met with officials and experts to discuss the EU's low-carbon development in the medium and long term, strategic planning, green technology applications, and exchange views on the prospects for cooperation between China and Europe in addressing climate change and strengthening green Belt and Road construction.
