On Sept 10, Gao Shiji, Director-General of the Institute for Resources and Environment Policies of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), led a research team to Xiong'an New Area in North China's Hebei province to study the development of geothermal energy.

The team visited the work site of SINOPEC Green Energy Geothermal Development Co., Ltd and discussed guidelines and management measures for geothermal development with the local management council of Xiong'an New Area.

Guo Jiaofeng and Yu Min from the DRC's Institute for Resources and Environment Policies also attended.
