Research Report, No.52, 2017 (Total 5127) 2017-05-04

Abstract: The questionnaires collected from 2505 female entrepreneurs show that most of their enterprises are self-reliant and are mainly in the service industry. These enterprises are small and medium-sized with sound operations and good performances. According to the survey results, female entrepreneurs are facing the challenges on how to manage well their business and at the same time take care of their families. Meanwhile, they are also facing doubts from the society about their capability of running business and they also lack confidence about themselves. They have to make efforts to enhance their competence in terms of forward planning, rational decision making, the ability to tell real from false, innovative courage, pioneering spirit and the capability to increase their presence in the market. Female entrepreneurs mostly rely on bringing out their potential for development. As a result, they lack the motivation for expanding the scale of enterprises and they have difficulties in introducing talents. Therefore, female entrepreneurs need to learn more, try to boost the development of their enterprises and make their business become bigger and stronger. It is hoped that the government could improve their business environment and lend a helping hand to bring their advantages into full play so that they could make their due contribution for the country.
