A seminar on garbage classification and recycling kicked off on January 9-10, in Guangzhou.

On the basis of field research, delegates analyzed Guangzhou and made suggestions on garbage issues and how to improve the environmental quality and ecological civilization construction in both urban and rural areas.

Cheng Huiqiang, assistant to the Director-General of the Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies (IREP), the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) delivered a speech and took part in the Experts Dialogue. Gao Shiji, Director of IREP was present.

The seminar was hosted by China Resource Recycling Association, supported by the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and IREP. More than 400 officials, experts and industrial delegates attended the seminar.
