China-ROK Economic Relations in the Post-Crisis Era |

The publication of this book series is attributed to financial assistance from "Core University Program for Korean Studies". Starting from 2008 and with a period of five years, the program is a worldwide project chaired by the Academy of Korean Studies under entrustment of ROK Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, with 18 universities from 11 countries in North America, Europe and Asia joining the program (till 2011). During this period, the research team has focused on the Institute of DPRK&ROK Research and coordinated with in-campus Korean studies related subjects and research institutes to actively organize both domestic and overseas academic seminars on Korean studies as well as Master paper presentations of Korean major students in Beijing; published Sino-Korean Cultural Exchanges Book Series and collected papers on Korean studies; trained young scholars of Korean studies; conducted training programs for middle school Chinese teachers from the Korean ethnic group; invited renowned scholars from home and abroad to give lessons, speeches and lectures in Minzu University of China; encouraged Korean studies fine and excellent curriculum and textbooks; continuously made more efforts in material management on Korean studies; made academic exchanges with domestic universities and research institutions and established cooperative relations; etc. In recent years, MUC's teaching and research for Korean studies have reached leading levels and become veritably the core university of Korean Studies in China, which have promoted further development of Beijing and nationwide Korean Studies, deepened mutual understanding between both countries, and further enhanced bilateral friendly cooperative ties. The Sino-Korean Cultural Exchanges Book Series in the program will encompass main fields in Korean studies, including politics, economy, culture, history, philosophy, language, literature and art. It is hoped publication of the book series can be helpful to development and deepening of China's Korean studies, enhancement of bilateral friendly cooperative ties, and peace, friendship, harmonious development of all countries in Northeastern Asia.
