DRC signs MOU with UK's Department for International Development

President Li Wei signed a memorandum of understanding with Mark Lowcok, permanent secretary for the Department for International Development, UK, on establishing a relationship of partnership on Jan 13. They also initiated a knowledge partnership development program on the same day. Both parties would conduct exchanges, summarize the experience of China's development, help the world gain a better understanding of China and promote developing countries' poverty relief efforts. Present at the signing ceremony were Zhang Junkuo, Vice-President of DRC; Long Guoqiang, director-general of DRC's General Office; Cheng Guoqiang, director-general of DRC's International Cooperation Department; Gong Sen, director-general of DRC's Institute for Public Administration and Human Resources; Zhang Shaogang, director of the Department of International Trade Relations at the Ministry of Commerce; and Yang Yingming, vice-director of the Department of International Financial Cooperation at the Ministry of Finance.
