The paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the Chinese insurance market in terms of the size and structure, main players and regulatory systems, sheds light on the structural change in insurance business, the composition of Chinese and foreign insurance companies and the regulation of the solvency of insurance companies, and on that basis points out the main problems existing in the Chinese insurance market at present.
