At the invitation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, Croatian Ministry of Foreign & European Affairs and Bulgarian Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the DRC delegation headed by President Li Wei visited Czech, Croatia and Bulgaria from June 5 to June 14, 2013. This visit studied the transitional experience of the three countries, especially the transition and development of their social security systems. In Czech Republic, President Li met with Mr. Zdenek Skromach, Vice Chairman of the Senate, Mme Ludmila Mullerova, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Finance Minister Mr. Miroslav Kalousek and Mr. Hynkem Kmonickem, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Department of the President’s Office. In Croatia, Mr. Li met with H.E. Mr. Ivo Josipovi?, President of the Republic of Croatia and Ms Milanka Opa?i?, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Policy and Youth. In Bulgaria, the delegation had meetings with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency and Invest Bulgaria Agency. The delegation also had meetings with Chinese companies invested in the above three countries during the visit. Ms. Sun Lanlan, Director General of the International Cooperation Department, Mr. Yu Bin, Director General of the Department of Macroeconomic Research and Mr. Ge Yanfeng, Director General of the Research Department of Social Development were on the delegation.
