Two 2013 Programs for Developing Countries hail Success

April 7 and July 4 witnessed respectively the successful conclusion of the two weeks’ seminar on Vocational Services and Labor Information for Cambodia (VSLIC) and the three weeks’ Practical Program on China’s Development Experiences (PPCDE), both were sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and organized by DRC’s Institute of Public Administration and Human Resources (IPAHR). DRC Vice President Zhang Laiming and Mr. Jin Xu, President of Academy for International Business Officials of Ministry of Commerce, attended the closing ceremony of PPCDE 2013 to congratulate its success and issued the certificates of accomplishment to the participants.

20 officials from the National Employment Agency of Cambodia, as well as 19 government officials and researchers from 11 Asian, African and European countries participated in the above programs. It is also the first time for DRC to organize special program for only one country such as VSLIC. Apart from attending the lectures given by DRC experts in Beijing, the participants also conducted field study in Chengdu City of Sichuan Province and Changshu City of Jiangsu Province. Through the visits and discussions with the local government officials, the participants personally experienced the dynamic economic and social development in China, obtained practical understanding of China’s development experiences. The participants expressed their appreciation to the precious chance to study in China and spoke highly of the successful programs. They believe that, even though different countries have different national conditions, the China’s development experiences, which are highly valuable, have provided important and beneficial lessons for developing countries.
