In 2012, DRC submitted to leaders of CPC Central Committee and the State Council (Chinese central government) a total of 572 policy research reports, 70 more than the previous year.

Among these reports, there were 208 policy abstracts, 248 policy working papers, 112 monographs, and 4 special study reports. The themes of these reports touched upon major policy issues concerning quality of economic growth, foreign economic relations and corporation, development of the real economy, business cost and the development of key industries such as grain, petrochemical, coal, iron and steel, automobile, etc.

The Party and the State Council leaders had given 205 comments and instructions on 145 submitted research reports as well as attentive perusal of 66 reports. It is noted that some policy options derived from DRC research findings had made positive contributions to the government’s decision-making on related issues.
