The 30th Annual Meeting of China-Japan Forum for Exchange of Economic Knowledge was held in Shizuoka from October 31 to November 5th. Mr. Li Wei, DRC President, Mr. ZhangYutai, former DRC President, Mr. Peng Sen, Vice Minister of National Development and Reform Commision, Mr. Zhang Zhigang, Vice Chairman of Economic Committee of CPPCC, and representatives from Ministry of Finance, China Minmetals Corporation participated in the forum. Japanese Participants included Mr. Shinji Fukukawa, former Vice Minister of International Trade and Industry, Mr. Isamu Miyazaki, Former Minister of Economic Planning, and Mr. Toshihiko Fukui, former Governor of Central Bank of Japan, as well as senior executive and experts from The Bank of Yokohama, Tokyo Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, Hitachi, Nippon Steel Corporation, Komatsu Ltd. Both Chinese and Japanese delegates exchanged views on global and Sino-Japan economic situation, Sino-Japan economic and technological cooperation, and issues of people’s welfare. The delegates also conducted field-visit to government-subsidized housing, senior nursery, and medical institutions.
