From Oct. 11th to 20th, at the invitation of the Treasury of Australia and Ministry of Economic Development of New Zealand, Mr. Hou Yunchun, Vice President of DRC and head of the DRC delegation, paid an official visit to Australia and New Zealand. The delegation had meetings as well as field studies in these two countries on the topics of the relationship between resource taxes regime and the coordinative regional development. They conducted in-depth discussions with officials and experts from various government agencies, including the Treasury, Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism, Commonwealth Grants Commission, New South Wales government in Australia, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Maori Development, Ministry of Social Development, State Service Commission and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in New Zealand. Members of the delegation included Mr. Zhang Junkuo, Director General, Mr. Xuan Xiaowei and Ms. Sun Zhiyan, senior research fellows of Research Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Mr. Wang Hui, Division Director of General Office and Mr. Zhang Hongfei, Program Officer of International Cooperation Department of DRC.
