Complete uranium exploration, mining and milling system III
Cooperation and exploitation
Grand alliance takes shape
The China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) has developed extensive cooperation and signed many exploration/exploitation agreements with State-owned enterprises (such as Petro China, Sinopec, Shenhua Group and the China General Nuclear Power Group), the Central Geological Exploration Fund and local geological exploration teams for the nuclear industry. With its partners, it has established some joint venture uranium exploitation companies, such as CNNC-Sinopec, Tongliao, Guyuan, Le’an and Yiyang. Hence, a grand alliance has truly taken shape.
Broad international cooperation
The CNNC has invited experts in uranium geology and metallurgy from enterprises and universities of many countries (includingFrance,Canadaand The Czech Republic) to conduct exchanges withChina, while partnering with the China Atomic Energy Authority and participating in its diverse campaigns.
The CNNC has successfully teamed up with Paladin Energy in uranium exploitation for the first time and holds shares in Paladin’s LH project.
Overseas uranium operation and market development score an initial success
The CNNC actively promotes a “going global” strategy and has made partnerships with Canada, Australia, France, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Niger, Namibia and other countries on a great number of uranium projects. It has achieved remarkable results in overseas uranium exploitation and made breakthroughs in the commercial utilization of overseas uranium resources.
