BSC members receive C.C. Tan Life Science Awards

The 17th C.C. Tan Life Science Awards were presented in Shenyang, Liaoning province, on Oct 9, honoring outstanding achievements in life sciences.
This year, a total of 15 academicians, experts and scholars presented certificates, trophies and medals to 18 distinguished awardees, among whom were three esteemed members of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC).
Chai Renjie, professor at Southeast University; Liu Junjie, associate professor at Tsinghua University; and Xue Yuanchao, researcher at the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), won the C.C. Tan Life Science Innovation Award.

Rao Zihe, honorary president of the BSC and a CAS academician, chaired the event. In his remarks, Rao emphasized the legacy of Tan's dedication to life sciences and underscored the role played by the awards in promoting original research, advancing the application of research findings, fostering academic exchange and inspiring Chinese scientists to innovate.
