Session 30: Scientific and technological innovation in sports and public health
Updated: 2024-07-26
The field of sports and health is undergoing a wave of transformation as a result of rapid technological advances. Technical applications have provided unprecedented opportunities, significantly boosting the collaborative innovation and integrated growth of industry, academia and research.
Leveraging intelligent fitness equipment, health apps, virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, as well as advances in the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, big data and multi-omics joint analysis, technological innovation is propelling the evolution of smart sports and the sports industry more generally.
Currently, the joint efforts of multiple disciplines are shaping competitive training models and advancing smart fitness for the general population, with more people exercising in an intelligent, personalized and scientific manner. The establishment of high-level sports and health laboratories and collaborative innovation centers is accelerating the fusion of sports and health, supporting the Healthy China initiative.
Building platforms for evaluating the biological effects of exercise, utilizing advanced biological technologies to assess the rationality and scientific basis of sports interventions, and exploring the biological mechanisms of these interventions are enhancing the quality, efficiency and core competitiveness of China’s sports development.
This session on scientific and technological innovation in sports and public health is organized by the Sports Science Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China. It aims to drive the multi-domain integration of advanced technologies with sports and health, and to facilitate innovation and growth in the academic field through exchange and cooperation, knowledge sharing and the promotion of scientific achievements.
