The gut microbiome is now considered an organ of the human body, closely linked to both intestinal disorders and extra-intestinal diseases such as neurological and liver conditions. Research in this area is gaining popularity and has emerged as one of the hottest frontier fields in both academic and industrial circles.

This session will focus on the gut microbiome and metabolic diseases, elucidating the relationship between the gut microbiome and the occurrence and development of metabolic diseases from various perspectives, including microbiomics and metabolomics.
