Session 3: Metabolic Biology - Metabolism and Disease Occurrence
Updated: 2022-08-10
With the improvement of science and technology and people’s living standards, efficiency in the energy storage mechanism, which once enabled people to gain evolutionary advantages, is nowadays prone to lead to over nourishment, causing various chronic metabolic diseases such as obesity, cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
The relationship between metabolism and health is becoming a hot topic, and diseases caused by metabolic disorders are imposing a heavy burden on social development.
