Applications are invited for the position of post-doctoral researcher at Zhejiang University (ZJU).

Zhang Haitao is the research team leader and doctoral supervisor of the School of Medicine at Zhejiang University, as well as the director of the research center for precise drug target structures at the ZJU innovation pharmaceutical research institute.

His main research field is the structural biology of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), an important drug target.

The laboratory of his research group is equipped with instruments and equipment for membrane protein expressions, purification and crystallizations and can carry out relevant research work relying on the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility and ZJU's Center of Cryo-electron Microscopy.

1. Job description:

Several post-doctoral fellowships;

Working period at the post-doctoral station can be flexibly set as two to six years according to the research content;

Clone, express, purify, crystallize, synchrotron diffraction data collection, cryo-electron microscope data collection and structure analysis for membrane proteins;

Apply for various fund projects;

Assist in guiding postgraduates' experiments.

2. Requirements for applicants:

Doctorate in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics and other related disciplines has been attained in the past two years or will be obtained imminently and the age of the candidate is under 30 years old;

Experience in protein expression and purification, protein crystallography, or cryo-electron microscopy is preferred;

Published research papers in SCI journals as the first author;

Great English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills;

Good at communications, has good team spirit, diligence, initiative, rigorous and responsible, innovative approach, able to independently carry out relevant experiments.

3. Salary:

According to the postdoctoral funding standards of ZJU, the annual salary is about 200,000 yuan ($28,314.94) and the successful candidate can enjoy the post-doctoral related welfare benefits of ZJU;

The successful candidate who has engaged in postdoctoral research for three years or more can apply for senior professional and technical positions in the school. In addition, postdoctoral candidates with an excellent outbound assessment can apply for school fixed establishment, professional title promotions, establishment of an independent research group, etc. according to the relevant regulations of the school.

The successful candidate can in future be supported in applying for the university's overseas academic exchange funds, to participate in international high-level academic conferences, apply for various fund projects, etc.
