The 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference (WICV) will be held in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) from Oct 17 to 19.
Since 2018, the WICV has been held six times. This year's conference, on the theme "Collaborating for Future Smart Mobility: Embracing New Opportunities in ICV Development", will have three plenary events, three special events, six thematic summits and multiple interactive activities.
Representatives from dozens of government departments, industry institutions and organizations, such as the United Nations, Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan, have confirmed they will attend the conference. Over 100 well-known domestic and international automotive, parts and communication companies' senior executives and industry experts will share reports, aiming to present a thought-provoking industry event.
More than 250 domestic and international well-known automotive and core component companies and institutions are expected to present over 200 innovative technologies and products, with exhibition scale, display designs and content achievements surpassing all previous WICV sessions.
In the first half of 2024, the output value of Beijing's intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry exceeded 226 billion yuan ($31.99 billion), a year-on-year increase of 16.1 percent. Beijing E-Town will continue to promote the high-quality development of intelligent connected vehicles, drive continuous innovation in autonomous driving technology and products, improve the driving and riding experience for the public, enhance road safety and support the refined management of smart cities.
