First AI standardization research institution settles in Beijing E-Town
The first domestic artificial intelligence standardization research institution, the Beijing Artificial Intelligence Standardization Research Institute, was established in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) on August 25.
The Beijing Artificial Intelligence Standardization Research Institute will conduct end-to-end standardization research in areas such as cutting-edge key technologies of artificial intelligence, industry scenario applications and risk prevention and governance. It will focus on foundational support and key technologies, conducting standard research in areas including computing power, algorithms, data and more. It will also focus on potential social governance risks, ethics, access and other matters arising through the development of artificial intelligence technology, and conduct standard research to ensure the safety, reliability, and controllability of artificial intelligence.
The institute will concentrate on benchmark application scenario construction, addressing common issues encountered in the "AI+" action, continuously working toward the output of standards for artificial intelligence product services and industry applications. Particularly in the field of robotics industry, it will establish an open, shared, and collaboratively innovative technological system, continuously iterate and launch landmark innovative products, address common issues faced by various innovating entities, and promote the formulation of standards for the intelligent robot industry.
In the future, it will further use robotics, autonomous driving and other key scenarios as samples to radiate and advance the standard output of artificial intelligence in more vertical industries.
