Beijing E-Town will anchor its second "trillion" investment target this year, 310 projects will be constructed with a total investment of 522.7 billion yuan ($72.62 billion), including 135 planned new projects with a total investment of 185.6 billion yuan. 

Among them, industrial projects account for 60 percent of fixed asset investment, ushering in a new quality of productivity, which is nurturing vibrant vitality in the area.

'Innovation Chain' meets 'Digital Transformation'

Entering the national Information Technology Application Innovation (ITAI) Park located by Tongming Lake in Beijing E-Town, the Phase I project of the Innovation Park is under construction and will provide 670,000 square meters of industrial space upon completion.

Leveraging the pilot area of the ITAI Park, 281 key enterprises have already been established in core areas such as integrated circuits, basic software, system integration, and network security.

Additionally, Beijing E-Town is building a 2000P-scale public intelligent computing power center, which will form a "1+3+N" system. Following the completion of the 2000P intelligent computing power center, the area will add another 2000P in capacity later this year.

'E-Town Arrow' soars to the sky

On Feb 3 this year, two rockets were launched by E-Town companies into space within a single day. Firstly, the Chang Zheng 2C rocket carried eleven satellites, setting a record for multi-satellite launches with a single rocket. A few hours later, the Jielong-3 carrier rocket was launched, marking its first mission carrying foreign payloads.

Behind this innovative breakthrough, more than 50 commercial aerospace enterprises have gathered in E-Town's commercial aerospace sector, covering fields such as launch vehicles, satellite development, satellite applications, model support, ground equipment, and technical applications. 

The number of privately-owned rocket assembly enterprises accounts for over 70 percent of the national total.

This year, the area will implement four projects in the commercial aerospace sector with a total investment of 18.2 billion yuan.

44 new industrial projects commence

In 16 different fields, a total investment of 88.3 billion yuan will be made in the fields of biotechnology and health; ten will have a total investment of 13 billion yuan. In the automotive and intelligent manufacturing sectors, 10 projects with a total investment of 10.5 billion yuan will be developed. 

According to statistics, E-Town will commence 44 new industrial projects in 2024, with a total investment of 161.3 billion yuan.

"With business expansion and capacity enlargement, we are entering a phase of rapid development. This year, we plan to launch our China headquarters project in Beijing E-Town," said the head of Acrobiosystems Co.
