Beijing E-Town is going to create a model ecological park city around the Tongming Lake, showcasing the digital future of the capital.

PART 1: 1.3 million square meters of new industrial space around the lake

"The space is going to be put into operation this June, with an expected operational area of 500,000 square meters this year," says a spokesperson of Beijing Tongming Lake IT City Development Co. 

In the future, apart from providing 600,000 square meters of cutting-edge office space, it will also feature a 100,000-square-meter commercial center, a 50,000-square-meter high-end hotel, a 20,000-square-meter exhibition and cultural center, and a 5,000-square-meter high-end cinema.

"The starting zone (National Information Innovation Park) has attracted 277 key enterprises in core areas such as core chips, basic software, system integration, and network security. Just last year, 63 new companies joined," says the spokesperson of Tongming Lake Information City. 

Currently, the area of 1.3 million square meters around the information city lake has the conditions for settlement, offering industrial plants, youth apartments, office spaces, etc.

PART 2: 'Minghu Butler' attracts young talents

"Minghu Butler" is not an individual but a system. Through one Minghu Butler service mechanism, six types of business services, and numerous service products, it turns the full life cycle and all elements of enterprise service into standardized processes.

The ongoing integrated urban development plan is based on the overall consideration of the eastern part of E-Town New Area, covering an area of approximately 58 square kilometers, including the areas around Taihu Lake and Majuqiao.

In terms of ecological construction, the plan includes creating a multi-layered forest, sparse forest grass slopes, tree-lined avenues, sunny lawns, wetland shallows, flower fields, water lily ponds, and artificial wetlands, providing suitable habitats for various bird species.

"We will establish a 'Two Lakes, Three Parks' layout (Two Lakes: Tongming Lake, Jiahui Lake; Three Parks: Information Innovation Park, Integrated Circuit Design Park, International Data Park), attracting cutting-edge industrial projects, promoting coordinated development in the area.

"Meanwhile, we will facilitate the transformation of industrial communities into comprehensive functional urban areas, ensuring residential and service facilities within the park are reachable within 15 minutes, promoting a balanced work-life environment," reveals the spokesperson of Beijing Tongming Lake IT City Development Co.
