Recently, at GE Healthcare's Beijing Imaging Equipment Manufacturing Base located in Beijing E-Town, the company's first domestically-produced ultra-high-end CT based on the Quantum platform RevolutionApexTMExpert, was officially launched.

From its initial debut at the China International Import Expo earlier this year to the official production launch of the RevolutionApexTMExpert, GE Healthcare took only 47 days.

Sun Xuguang, chief technology officer of GE Healthcare China, said that "Chinese clinical demands for CT equipment in terms of scanning speed, the ability to 'see' details, the level of device intelligence, and advanced applications are rising. The new Apex Quantum platform is based on these requirements and is a revolutionary innovation in clinical breakthroughs and image exploration in CT technology. It can better meet the precise clinical diagnosis and treatment needs of medical practitioners and patients."

CT imaging diagnosis is becoming an increasingly routine means of examination for cardiovascular diseases. Especially for cardiac imaging examinations, CT scans are the first step in imaging. 

However, due to the constant movement of the heart, and varying heart rates among different age groups, higher demands are placed on equipment performance and technology. 

The new generation Apex Quantum platform from GE Healthcare, equipped with a high-energy wide-body imaging chain, increases the CT speed to 0.23s. 

Combined with the 1300mA x 16cm high-energy wide-body coverage of the 33MHu high-energy quantum ball tube, it achieves a rapid freeze of the entire heart under any conditions in 19.5ms, providing clear imaging covering all details of the heart in a single heartbeat.
