World's top 500 companies continuously invest in Beijing E-Town
The world's top 500 companies have been continuously investing in Beijing E-Town in recent days.
"This is our fourth investment project in Beijing E-Town," said Cao Pijia, vice president of Air Liquide in China. With the landing of the bulk gas yard project, the cumulative investment of the Air Liquide in China in the area now exceeds one billion euros ($1.07 billion).
Air Liquide is the world's largest supplier of industrial and health-related gases and related technical services, with operations in 73 countries and regions.
It started its projects in Beijing E-Town in 2004, providing bulk gases to key enterprises such as BOE and SMIC. The newly established bulk gas yard, with an investment of 240 million yuan, is an essential support for BOE's 6th generation new semiconductor display device production line, supplying nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and hydrogen gases to the production line.
By forming industry-specific work groups and adopting innovative work models such as "immediate construction after land acquisition," Beijing E-Town has simplified the business process and provided strong support for the project, added Cao.
"Once the project is completed, we will add 10 production lines, significantly increase our operating scale, double our output value, and are expected to achieve an annual output value of 3.2 billion yuan after reaching full production," said Xu Lu, president of Faurecia China's Green Mobility Division, once the company's emissions after-treatment system expansion project settles in Beijing E-Town.
Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies (Beijing) Co is a wholly-owned subsidiary of France's largest automotive parts manufacturer - FORVIA Faurecia.
Since its registration in Beijing E-Town in 2012, the company has provided supporting products to more than ten key enterprises in Beijing, such as Beijing Benz, Great Wall Motors, and Cummins. The total investment for this project is 45 million yuan, and the production space of the project reaches 19,200 square meters.
In the future, 10 production units in three categories will be built here, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and special mechanical equipment, which involve various process flows such as welding, packaging, and testing.
The continuous investment by Air Liquide Group and Faurecia is just a microcosm; companies such as Bayer, Schneider, and Varian have successively increased their investments in recent years.
This September, Beijing E-Town issued a series of policies to support foreign-invested enterprises, offering incentives of up to 100 million yuan for new projects.
So far, Beijing E-Town has attracted 99 of the world's top 500 companies, 1,187 foreign-invested companies, and 156 key projects.
