Beijing E-Town takes measures to stabilize employment

Updated: 2023-07-26

Since the beginning of this year, Beijing E-Town has focused on stabilizing and safeguarding employment.

The area has issued several measures to assist enterprises in stabilizing their workforce. Besides, in response to the labor demands of companies in the area, Beijing E-Town optimized policies related to the employment and entrepreneurship environment for graduates, and introduced new policies to attract excellent talents.

Recently, funds for stabilizing employment subsidies and post-doctoral funding assistance have been continuously deposited into the accounts of several companies in the area.

In the first half of the year, Beijing E-Town strengthened its support and guarantees for key groups in employment, with a focus on university graduates. They made efforts to attract talents such as job recommendations, expanding recruitment channels, and collaborating with universities in the area.

Through a series of activities called "Enterprises Go to Prestigious Universities, and Prestigious Universities Come to Enterprises," Beijing E-Town conducted joint recruitment activities with universities such as the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, Beijing University of Science and Technology, and Dalian Maritime University.

This initiative involved 112 companies in Beijing E-Town, and offered 272 positions, attracting 1,229 applicants, with 3,760 graduates participating and 1,436 resumes received. There were 670 individuals expressing intentions to accept job offers. These activities met the labor demands of companies in various industries in the area and laid the foundation for other campus recruitment activities.

To further stabilize and expand employment, Beijing E-Town organized special and targeted recruitment activities in the first half of the year.

They have carried out 33 special recruitment events and 16 targeted events, including cooperation with towns and streets, cooperation with Beijing and Inner Mongolia, and cooperation with other provinces and cities for recruitment.

Beijing E-Town promoted cross-provincial employment by organizing local companies to recruit workers from labor-exporting areas like Hebei, Shandong, and Gansu provinces, offering 198 job positions, with 383 people successfully securing employment.

Additionally, through the "Working in Beijing E-Town" platform, the area published regular recruitment information, providing 2,489 employment positions, and successfully recruiting over 8,600 people to work in Beijing E-Town.
