Since its launch in 2021, it has gained numerous fans and received awards such as "Golden Joystick Award" for Best Game of the Year. After two years of development, the global esports system of League of Legends: Wild Rift has matured, especially in the Asian region, where the esports events of League of Legends: Wild Rift have shown promising growth.
Currently, it has over 120 million registered users in the Chinese mainland and tens of millions of monthly active players, making it one of the most popular mobile games in China.
In 2022, the emerging star of the esports market, League of Legends: Wild Rift Professional League, debuted in Chinese mainland. After a short period of development, it officially upgraded to the League of Legends: Wild Rift Asian League, becoming the first cross-regional professional mobile esports league.
In April, the first season of the Asian League started in Shanghai, China. After intense competition in the regular season and playoffs, on July 21, four teams from two regions will engage in a three-day fierce battle.
As the in-game battles are intense, the carnival outside the arena will be equally exciting.
The event will feature a food area with fine wine, fried chicken, shaved ice, and grilled sausages, as well as a leisure area with video games, arcade games, fluorescent hand-painting, and giant bowling.
There will also be a spectator area for 1v1 solo matches and performances, a bustling market with a variety of stalls, and a romantic and magical forest of hero lights and shadows. These offerings provide citizens with various ways to participate in the event.
The offline esports finals, together with the game's anniversary celebration, will undoubtedly contribute to an exhilarating esports celebration for fans in this hot summer.
