The inaugural China Digital Music Concert, a highlight of the 2023 Global Digital Economy Conference, was held online on July 4.

The fantasy and dazzling stage brought together digital celebrity stars. Through the integration of digital performances with real people and physical stages, the audience was treated to diverse performances breaking the boundaries of imagination, including Chinese-style dance, futuristic journeys, and melodies from the world of anime, collectively creating the future of the digital economy through music.

Behind this spectacular digital music concert lies the continuous development of digital technologies such as virtual character creation and XR virtual shooting.

According to the director of this digital concert, virtual character creation is a complex and diversified technological field that involves concept design, character modeling, materials and textures, skeleton binding, animation production, lighting and rendering, post-processing, integration, and optimization. 

Key technologies involved include 3D modeling and animation, character details and textures, skeletal and animation control, motion capture, facial capture and expressions, sound synthesis and speech recognition, artificial intelligence, and behavior simulation. The event requires the collaboration of professionals from various fields such as concept artists, modelers, texture artists, animators, and programmers.

It is worth noting that the stage of this digital music concert occasionally showcased elements from Beijing E-Town.

Since the on-location shooting took place in the Information Technology Application Innovation (ITAI) Park and Longfor Paradise Walk in Beijing E-Town, it further showcased the area's charm through the integration of virtual and real elements.

Through the combination of virtual and real, traditional music and modern digital music, this year's digital music concert will achieve the linkage of digital character intellectual properties from different tracks, attracting more attention and igniting a wave of public interest in the digital economy.
