The construction of the "Two Zones" projects in Beijing E-Town has been accelerating. 

In the first five months of this year, 467 key projects were included in the inventory of "Two Zones", with a year-on-year growth of 328 percent. Some 400 new projects were completed and removed from the inventory, a year-on-year growth of over nine times. 

The year-on-year growth of foreign-funded projects included in the inventory exceeded 400 percent, and that of foreign-funded projects that were completed and removed from the inventory exceeded 500 percent.

A few months ago, KRASG12C (KRAS refers to a type of rodent sarcoma virus cancer gene, and G12C refers to the mutation of glycine to cysteine at the 12th position of the KRAS protein) inhibitor innovative drug developed by Beijing E-Town enterprise Jacobio Pharma received breakthrough therapy designation from the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the National Medical Products Administration.

Another company that is also accelerating development in Beijing E-Town's "Two Zones" foreign-funded projects is the development and production base of WeMed Medical for coronary artery intervention surgical control systems.

This company, which was established less than 10 years ago, ranks among the top in the world in terms of the total number of patent applications for vascular intervention robots. Its product is also the first domestically produced intervention surgery robot to enter the special approval channel for national innovative medical devices

Speaking of another leading industry in Beijing E-Town, new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles, an intelligent factory is rising in the Xinghai Industrial Park in Beijing E-Town. 

"We are the only company in Beijing that specializes in battery packs and lightweight vehicle bodies," said the head of Gestamp Auto Components (Beijing) Co. With technological advantages, its sealing and safety of battery pack products are about 10 percent higher than similar products. And the lightweight vehicle body project of the company has been completed.

Next, Beijing E-Town will formulate and introduce policies related to foreign investment; strengthen investment promotion efforts for foreign-funded projects and expand investment promotion channels; integrate "Two Zones" service halls to promote the handling and integration of foreign-related administrative services, and enhance the international business environment.
