Beijing E-Town held a theme recognition event titled "Sing the Praises of Beijing E-Town's Craftsmanship, Embrace the New Mission of Journey" on Apr 7 to recognize the first group of 10 "Beijing E-Town craftsmen".

In his speech, Shi Wei, deputy director of the Administration Committee of Beijing E-Town, remarked that as the main stronghold of Beijing's real economy, Beijing E-Town has always attached great importance to talent work, and will continue to provide comprehensive services to create a favorable environment for talents to start businesses, work and live.

The awards ceremony was divided into three chapters, which reflected the three core spirits of "dedication, excellence, and innovation". 

These "Beijing E-Town Craftsmen" come from companies such as Beijing Benz Automotive Co, the JD Retail Platform Operations and Marketing Center, SMC (China) Ltd, and Beijing BOE Optoelectronics Technology Co. 

Among them are Chen Weitao, a tireless rubber researcher, Ding Keqian, a space artisan, Duan Haifeng, a genetic code breaker who tackles challenges, Liang Qizheng, a doctor who specializes in treating complex diseases, Lyu Jianlong, a pioneer in refining biopharmaceutical technology, Tie Weibin, who innovates to create marketing stars, Chen Yanmin, a safety information tracker who goes above and beyond, Li Bo, who leads the way in the development of independent new energy vehicles, Lou Ying, a 17-year veteran who is dedicated to national defense, and Zhang Zikang, a visionary who leads in the field of production line robots.

Representatives of the craftsmen, Zhao Yu, Liu Gengsheng, and He Maodong delivered recommendation speeches, and Wang Jingdong, Shi Wei, and leaders of the Beijing E-Town Federation of Trade Unions presented awards to the 10 Beijing E-Town Craftsmen at the event.

The series of activities for the "Beijing E-Town Craftsmen" started on Apr 8, 2022. After stages of recommendation, qualification review, and expert evaluation, the Beijing E-Town Working Committee and Administration Committee awarded the title of "Beijing E-Town Craftsmen" to 10 individuals including Lou Ying. 

The 10 Beijing E-Town Craftsmen were awarded honorary certificates and a one-time reward of 100,000 yuan ($14,522). Those who meet relevant regulations will be directly recognized as "Beijing E-Town Leading Talents" and enjoy corresponding talent policies.
